Ecolabel. Environmental management policy

Camping Zumaia, aware of the need to protect and conserve the environment and in order to contribute to the sustainability of natural resources makes the following environmental statement:

Se conformer à toutes les règles et réglementations applicables au secteur de l'hébergement.Promouvoir et appliquer des procédures d'amélioration continue dans tous les domaines de l'organisation pour parvenir à une gestion efficace et respectueuse de l'environnement.Réduire la quantité de déchets et la consommation de ressources (matériaux, combustibles et énergie).Réduire ou éliminer la production d'émissions de polluants dans l'environnement.Informer régulièrement les touristes de la politique environnementale et des mesures écologiques mises en place dans les hébergements.Offrir au personnel une formation adéquate en matière de gestion du tourisme et de l'environnement.Mettre en œuvre dans les hébergements de tourisme rural, par des mesures concrètes, les domaines de gestion environnementale suivants :Réduction des déchets et recyclage.Minimiser la consommation d'eau, d'énergie et de carburant.Gestion efficace des émissions atmosphériques et du bruit.Gestion adéquate des eaux usées.Gestion adéquate des substances dangereuses nocives et agressives pour l'environnement.Introduction de la variable environnementale dans les réformes du logement.Veiller au respect et à la divulgation des mesures de sécurité, en particulier celles concernant la sécurité incendie, le personnel et les clients.

Energy

Rational and responsible use of lights. Turn them off when you leave!Turn off or unplug electrical appliances when leaving bungalows (TV, ,...)Appliances with visible shutdown pilot continue to consume.Rational use of heating (thermostat temperature regulated to: 20º), close the windows when the heating or air conditioning is on to avoid wasting energy.Make the most of natural light.

Water

The towels and sheets will be removed at the request of the client always with a minimum of 4 days of use, but use the towels / sheets as much as possible. Do not wash towels that have not been used.Be sure to turn off the taps tightly – don't let the water run in your daily toilet!Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth and hands.Do not pour chemicals down the drain. Use the bin to deposit the waste do not pour it down the drain.Do not pour oils or other substances into the drain.Use the small button when flushing the toilets.

Waste

Use specific containers for paper, plastics – packaging, glass, organic, batteries and used oil.Don't forget the 3R strategy: Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.Use rechargeable batteries for your electrical appliances (cameras, music players, flashlights,...).Do not consume products with unnecessary packaging (gifts, purchases, food on trays,...).As far as possible do not use disposable products, use packaged products in bulk that we provide.

Sustainable transport

It uses environmentally sustainable means of transport starting with walking, cycling, and the use of public transport.

Chemical products

Do not use aerosols with propellants that do not attack the ozone layer.Do not use pesticides or chemicals that can damage the atmosphere as well as ecosystems.
